The first in a set of two, this is an original 24”x24” encaustic painting with mixed media on cradled birch. Inspired by Ruth 2:14-19.

A note from Amy- “My “Scripted” series is usually taken from Psalms, sometimes they are songs clients request for commissions, but I had two passages I knew I wanted to carve into the surface of this wax. Ruth 2:14-19 scripted into the surface of one, and Ruth 4:3-22 into the other. I have no feeling left in my finger tips from working these pieces, but totally worth it.”
